Warnings & interactions

Warnings:

May cause drowsiness, dizziness, orthostatic hypotension, blurred vision, and impaired alertness. Avoid alcohol. Use cautiously in liver, kidney, heart disease, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, glaucoma, and thyroid disorders.

Avoid If:

Hypersensitivity to ingredients, acute alcohol/opioid/barbiturate intoxication, coma, severe agitation/mania, untreated narrow-angle glaucoma, recent MAOI use (within 14 days), or certain cardiac conditions.

Interactions:

Alcohol: increases sedation. MAO inhibitors: risk of serious adverse effects. CNS depressants: enhanced drowsiness. Antihypertensives: may increase hypotension. Anticholinergics: increased anticholinergic effects. Levodopa: reduced effectiveness.
