Warnings:
Risk of hypoglycemia, weight gain, caution in kidney/liver impairment
Avoid If:
Type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe liver/kidney failure, sulfa allergy
Interactions:
(1) Insulin/other antidiabetics → ↑ hypoglycemia risk (2) Beta-blockers → may mask hypoglycemia symptoms (3) Alcohol → unpredictable glucose effects (4) NSAIDs → may enhance hypoglycemic effect (5) Rifampicin → reduces effect (6) Fluconazole → increases drug levels
